Eric
Ashcraft is an Ohio native who absolutely loves
being in the outdoors. Throughout the years he has
been able to harvest some really good bucks and
attributes much of his success to practicing Quality
Deer Management on their properties. He is committed
to putting forth 100% effort at whatever he does.
He is a real people person and has formed some great
relationships with adjoining landowners to manage
whitetails as a team, and have formed what they
call QDM Cooperatives. Eric has been married for
eight years to his wife Jennifer and they have four
beautiful children; Emily, Sarah, Abbi, and Cassie.
Eric enjoys spending time with his family, whether
it is riding atvs, watching deer, singing, going
to church as a family, or hanging out on the farm,
it doesn't matter what they are doing they have
a great time together. Eric's wife Jenni grew up
around hunting thanks in part to her dad being an
avid bowhunter, she enjoys hunting with a Horton
crossbow and was able to harvest a great buck back
a few years ago. She is really looking forward to
getting in the woods more this fall. Eric and Jenni
love sharing with their girls the love of the outdoors
and hope to pass on the hunting heritage that has
been afforded them. Eric has been employed with
their family owned oil and gas business, AP Production
& Service, since graduating from Cedarville University
in 1994. He has worked with his father, Leon, in
the oil field since he was a young man. His oil
field job keeps him busy throughout the year, he
and his dad fix broken oil wells with a service
rig and they both maintain several wells around
central Ohio. Eric enjoys spending time with his
dad in the deer woods each fall, and has been with
his dad on several successful hunts. . |

What
a journey I have led so far in my life. Growing
up in farm country in the far northeast corner of
the State of Ohio and having a great time working
on farms. What I didn't know then is those experiences
were teaching me what I know today. While sitting
on a tractor for hours-on-end wondering where my
life would lead me. Longing for more in my life
than farming, longing to have a career in wildlife.
I graduated from Hocking College with a Degree in
Fish and Wildlife Management and started my own
wildlife management company. My business has now
evolved into a deer management consulting business,
Drumming Log Wildlife Management. For approximately
ten years, I have been managing wildlife and am
grateful that I have a job that I want to get up
to in the morning. What I'm thankful for is a wonderful
wife at home who puts up with my obsession for whitetail
deer. She has been putting up with my obsessions
and dreams for over eight years and if it wasn't
for her support, I have no idea what I would be
doing. My wife and I have a beautiful four-year-old
boy. He is everything to us and we can't wait to
have him go hunting with us and enjoy wildlife and
the outdoors. |
